Joe Black isn’t a travel agent or a tour guide, and he definitely isn’t a golf pro. He’s an average guy who decided to plan a trip to the Dominican Republic.
That turned out to be the hard part.
Within a week Joe had 47 browser tabs open, three maps that disagreed with each other, a notebook full of course names he couldn’t pronounce, and no clue which airport to fly into. His laptop fan sounded like a jet taking off at Punta Cana. His wife started asking whether he was planning a vacation or a military operation.
So Joe did what any reasonable average guy would do. He started saving everything in one place.
It began with the golf courses, the 16 Joe has dug into so far, with more on his list. Then it grew to where to stay, how far everything is, the airports and the deals. Then came the history, because it turns out this island has a lot of it. Before long, Joe’s personal trip notes had turned into this site.
Joe fell head over heels for the Dominican way of life: the people, the passion, and the pride they take in their beautiful island. He’s still learning and still planning his next trip. He’s sharing everything he finds so you can skip the 47 tabs.
Grab a seat in Joe’s Corner, follow along with his travels, and let’s plan your trip together.
